Why QDV7 and not R2D2?

Yes but why a new version?
Since 1994, the Microsoft environment has been the operating system on which Quick devis runs, the most widespread system in targeted companies.
Originally developed around the ACCESS “JET” engine, and with an integrated spreadsheet dating from the same period, more and more incompatibilities appear both on new OS and with new versions of Office. For example, .xlsx files are not supported by Quick Devis 6. IAES, the publisher of Quick Devis, has therefore been working for 4 years on new software, completely redesigned and compatible with the new Microsoft environment. Furthermore QDV7, as that is its name, is no longer developed on ACCESS but on Google databases, namely SQLite.
Do we have to relearn everything?
What made Quick Devis successful is of course retained and the logic remains the same. However, the interface is different and the transition from Quick Devis 6 to QDV7 is similar to the one you experienced when you moved from Office 2003 to Office 2007. Sorry? Are you still in 2003? Don't panic, QDV7 remains compatible.
What are the contributions of this new version?
Apart from the points mentioned above, the contributions are numerous, we can cite:

Due to different APIs and a redesigned calculation system, it is not possible to have complete compatibility between Quick devis 6 and QDV7.

If by chance you wish to follow a deal initiated in Quick quote 6 in QDV7, it is then possible to convert part of the original file, namely the slip and the minutes into a new file and apply the new model. Item and group libraries are also convertible to QDV7.
