In partnership with the company QUOTEX, it was a question of putting 8 teams of 3 students from the specialties of the BTS of Saint Aubin into competition. The BTS Electrotechnical, CG and CIM specialties took part. The assessment focused on the technical, creative and economic abilities of the students.
The launch of the CHALLENGE took the form of a consultation on the installation of display terminals on campus. A prototype of this terminal having already been produced as part of another project, the teams had to determine the cost price as well as the number of terminals to install.
Made up of a mechanically welded galvanized chassis, thermoformed plastic shells, signage and various painting and drilling operations, the costing called upon multiple skills present within the school.
The students also had to propose additional equipment to differentiate their offer compared to other teams as well as a market study on the potential distribution of this terminal.
QUOTEX was involved in the installation of the QDV7 software within the high school and in the training of students on the basics of encryption, a subject which is relatively little understood in these more technical sectors.
The students created a WBS, used price bases from internal services at the Lycée as well as external companies. Each team also had to determine the number of terminals they would offer as well as evaluate the price of a thermoforming mold.
Concluded with a friendly drink, each student received a badge stamped with the DÉFI SUP logo and the best performing teams also received additional prizes: cinema tickets and chocolate.
This is the second collaboration between the Saint Aubin Lasalle establishment and QUOTEX. The first collaboration consisted of a tutored project on the creation of a configurator for sizing and costing a photovoltaic system.
