MONNIER Génie Électrique: a general electrical company with many types of costing
MONNIER, a subsidiary of VINCI Énergies, is a general electricity company which works in both the industrial and tertiary sectors, in high voltage, low voltage and low current.
The specificity of its costings is that they have different services with different structuring and presentation needs, such as unit prices or overall prices. They also respond to public calls for tenders with contract contracts.
The challenge: having more flexibility to adapt the costing to each type of client
Monnier used the encryption module of its ERP which was neither ergonomic nor very graphic – therefore not very user-friendly.
In addition, the tool was not very flexible and did not allow teams to adapt the presentation of the quote optimally according to the type of client without having to undertake costly developments with the ERP integrator.
Finally, the tool still required a lot of time-consuming and potentially error-prone manual actions, such as the creation of pricing sheets in Excel, in addition to the quote in the ERP.
The solution: QDV7
Monnier chose the encryption software because it had the capacity to centralize multiple data, coming from other databases and company applications, and to personalize the encryption models according to the needs of each type of client. , without complex development.
The Monnier Génie Électrique team was also attracted by the “familiar” aspect of QDV with a table and WBS presentation, close to the office tools developed by Microsoft (Excel and Project). This brought more user-friendliness for users.
Quotex therefore integrated QDV into the Monnier information system, with synchronization of CRM data for synchronization of the latter's data in the quotes.
This made it possible to integrate many advanced features into a simple environment for users, including:
- Connection to an external rate database TARIF ID continuously updated to which customer discounts are applied
- Simplification of responses to calls for tender with automatic formatting of the Monnier quote in the format expected by the client (while retaining at the same time the usual format used by Monnier)
- Removal of the process of creating a price sheet on a separate Excel file, everything is automatically created by QDV.
The results: great flexibility and time savings
Monnier now has a flexible encryption tool and has the ability to implement a new format very quickly , without the need for development.
The interface is simpler to use for users, who save considerable time on each quote (15 to 20 minutes just by eliminating the process of creating a price sheet).
For encryption, the QDV application due to its flexibility can be suitable for all types of companies in our group. It allows you to make encryptions that are all different even though everything comes from the same application.
