Configuration of Implementations
The primary use of Visual Components Essentials is to quickly create layouts by dragging components from the electronic catalog directly into the 3D world and connecting them to other compatible components via plug-and-play. Use the properties editing window to modify predefined parameters, such as dimensions, speed or even color.
Process Modeling
A simple but powerful way to manage processes and production flow in your facility. Multiple modeling tasks can now be completed as visual workflows, minimizing the need for programming. The “processes” tab includes a submenu to define, modify and manage products, processes and production flow. The latter can also be visualized and managed in the 3D world, making it easier to analyze, troubleshoot and modify layouts.
The Electronic Catalog
Take advantage of the extensive component library. With more than 2,300 predefined and ready-to-use components, the Visual Components electronic catalog contains an extensive library of virtual models of robots, machines and equipment from dozens of leading industrial automation brands.
CAD compatibility
Import your CAD files directly into the 3D world. Visual Components Essentials supports CAD file types from most major CAD vendors, making it easy to import files created with popular software applications such as Autodesk, Dassault, PTC, Siemens and others. The software's compatibility with different CAD formats means that you can directly import the files as they were designed. CAD import is included in Essentials so there are no additional costs or plugins.
Different Renderings
Easily capture and export screenshots of the 3D world directly into your presentations. Record and export videos in 4K HD quality. Create animated, interactive 3D PDFs with built-in simulations, built-in navigation and reading options, and BOM. Convert 3D layouts into presentation-ready 2D plans in seconds with the 2D drawing template.
Simplified Robotics
A simple but powerful set of features for defining and modeling robot behavior. Simplified robotics has built-in functionality for manual robot movements, accessibility and collision analysis, and definition of robot postures with feedback on control flows.
A cloud of dots
Whether you are preparing a commercial proposal for a client or studying a modification to your current production line. With this feature, you can import point cloud models of your facilities directly into the 3D world and configure layouts inside. Point clouds are represented as geometric models, so you can easily include them in tasks like layout design, distance and angle measurement, and collision analysis.
2D drawings are a format incorporated into many workflows, from layout design to project deliverable models.
PLC connectivity
Connectivity makes it easy to connect simulations to your control system using industry-standard OPC UA or vendor-specific interfaces. This enables virtual activities such as program testing and verification and change control in the context of your production process. With PLC connectivity, you can also view real-time production activity, collect and analyze real-time data, and test and simulate improvements.
Statistics and Reports
Visualize simulation statistics using line, area, bar, or pie charts. Charts are created, edited and visualized on a dedicated statistics dashboard. The dashboard helps users visualize the dynamics of their production line, identify bottlenecks, and evaluate changes in production performance. When further analysis is required, simulation data can be easily exported to PDF or Excel data format.
Visual Components Experience
A new way to experience design and production simulation. With the Visual Components Experience app, it is now possible to experience 3D simulations that you designed with Visual Components on mobile and in virtual reality.
