PROCESS SYSTEMS chose the QDV quotation software in a multi-production unit context

Faced with numerous maintenance issues with their Excel-based quoting application, the PROCESS SYSTEMS team was looking for a solution that offered reliability, time savings and scalability. His choice fell on QDV7

Process Systems: expert in process units for the energy industry

PROCESS SYSTEMS is a French company expert in the design and manufacturing of process units for the Gas, Oil and Energy industries.

The company develops innovative modular solutions in the fields of natural gas processing, transactional metering and energy recovery.

Their quotes take into account all aspects linked to the modular nature of our solutions: the cost of materials and supplier references, labor, transport, equipment necessary for implementation, etc. They very often exceed 1000 lines.

The challenge: replace the “in-house” Excel quote tool and allow quotes to be quickly recalculated based on the production unit

The in-house developed Excel application was becoming increasingly difficult for the Process Systems team to maintain. It therefore had to equip itself with a new solution that was more reliable but also flexible, to meet the specific needs of the company.

In fact, the latter has several production units: in France, Poland and China. Depending on the proximity of customers and suppliers, the availability of parts and the load schedule of each unit, it may be more attractive to manufacture in one unit rather than another. The tool to be implemented should therefore make it possible to quickly recalculate a quote with another production scenario.

The solution: QDV7

Process Systems selected the QDV7 quotation software because it met the company's challenges of flexibility, productivity and connectivity:

  • The application was connected to a unified database of articles containing the references and prices of each purchased material.

  • In order to save time, reusable standard works have been created. They are then personalized through configurators adapted to each specialty.

  • The flexibility of QDV makes it possible to take into account all the parameters influencing costs to recalculate a quote in a few clicks based on another production location. The commercial and technical offers are generated from the QDV interface, which retrieves a by the entry and details, including additional documents (datasheets, general conditions of sale, etc.), while leaving the Process Systems teams the freedom to adapt certain details before sending to the customer.

The results: great flexibility and time savings

Thanks to QDV7, the Process Systems team in charge of costing saves valuable time on a daily basis in managing commercial offers .

Much more than a quotation software, QDV has become a tool which will allow them in the future to quickly gauge the best production scenario to optimize offers and load plans.

QDV is very reliable. It allows us to save a lot of time in creating new quotes and streamlines our working methods.

At your side to meet your specific needs for price studies, drafting commercial offers and overall management of your business. Salespeople and estimators must focus on taking orders, not on developing a costing tool. This is where QUOTEX comes in.
